Posted 122014 from Charleston Gazette: Wilma Marie Smith, 90, of Scott Depot, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014 at Hospice West, South Charleston.She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Smith; brother, Everette Downey; and her parents, Roy Downey and Mabel Lee.She was a Sunday school teacher for 55 years and a member of Eternal Light Church of God, St. Albans. She was formerly an office manager for St. Albans Windows and later retired from Nitro Window.She is survived by three sons, Robert (Elizabeth), Chuck (Carol) and David (Wanda); four daughters, Sue (Virgil) Brogan, Annette Mitchell, Roberta Smith (Jim Hickman) and Dawnetta (Greg) Cook; brothers, Roy Lee Downey, Jerry (Barbara) and Charles (May Downey) Downey; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.Service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, at Curry Funeral Home, 2097 Childress Road, Alum Creek, with her three sons officiating, Robert, Chuck and David.
