Posted 9/12/14 - Three years ago my life forever changed, my youngest daughter Anna was diagnosed with Leukemia at 18-months old. Anna is now 4 1/2 and has endured an intense chemotherapy regimen which included weekly clinic visit and numerous overnight hospitalizations for high-dose chemotherapy. She had to endure MRIs, surgeries, X-rays, blood and platelet transfusions, blood work tests, sedations, loss of hair, daily medications and chemotherapy infusion. Anna took her 2 1/2 year treatment plan in stride, while keeping a smile on her face and responded extremely well to her treatments. Anna completed her protocol treatment plan 8months ago and continues to have monthly clinic visit for blood work and is doing great. Preschool, gymnastics, soccer and play dates have now replaced the extended hospital stays. Were so very blessed for our healthy, fun, loving Anna!!! However some cancer families arent as lucky as us, 7 kids fighting cancer will earn their angel wings today. Thats 7 kids too many, we must find a cure! Awareness -> Funding -> Research -> CURE!
