Posted by Rick: Today, June the 6th, marks the 70th anniversary of D-Day. Some 12,000 Americans died in this invasion. Half way around the world, on this day, another American died, Glen Harrison Jones. The youngest of nine brothers, Glen (A Marine) died two weeks after his 21st birthday, on the Oruku peninsula in the Philipines. Six of my fathers brothers, along with my father, served in WWII. All made it home except for Glen. My father, Dale, is 95 n the last living Jones. I honor my father, n the uncle I never had the opportunity to know today. I salute the Greatest Generation, and Harmon, Bill, Dale, Vaughn, Joe, Ike, and Glen. God Bless You, n God Bless America
