Posted in Tifton Gazette today. He will be missed by all. April 14, 2014 Robert (Bob) B. Conoly CNHI PERRY — Robert (Bob) B. Conoly, 78, of Perry, died Sunday, April 13, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors with Brinson Lanier officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:30 until 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. Conoly was born August 19, 1935 in Sylvester to Walter Hugh Conoly Sr. and Maude Beasley Conoly, both deceased. He is preceded in death by a sister, Rheba Conoly Cason and brothers, James Calvin Conoly, Walter Hugh Conoly Jr. and Joseph Daniel Conoly. He married Sue Allen of Tifton in 1960. They were married 53 years. He graduated from Tift County High School, ABAC and the University of Georgia. He was in the United States Army Reserves. Mr. Conoly retired as Senior Vice President of Chem-Nut, Albany. He was a member of the National Agricultural Chemical Association, the Southern Weed Science Society, the Georgia Weed Science Society as Vice President, the Georgia Entomological Society as Vice President and as President, and the Florida Agricultural Research Institute. He was recognized as the Georgia Crop Production Alliance Lifetime Achievement Hall of Fame Award. He was a member of Second Baptist Church, Warner Robins and the Kindred Spirit Sunday School Class. He was a member of Warwick’s First Baptist Church for 20 years. He grew up in the First Baptist Church of Tifton and returned there with his family for eight more years. He is survived by his wife, Sue Allen Conoly of Perry; his daughters, Kay Conoly Faulk of Warwick; Beth Conoly Johnson and son-in-law, Clint Johnson of Perry; Grandsons, Chase Crawford, Hunter Faulk, Clint Johnson, Wes Johnson and a granddaughter, Ivey Johnson; brothers William W. (Bill) Conoly and wife Geneva Lyons Conoly of Tifton, E. Jack Conoly and wife Elizabeth Norris Conoly of Tallahassee, Fla. and numerous nieces and nephews.
