Pot Plants (factories) Are Blooming All Over The Place. A PEI - TopicsExpress

Pot Plants (factories) Are Blooming All Over The Place. A PEI farmer is about to break ground on a new 14,000 square foot facility in Charlottetown. It will be called Canadas Island Garden Inc. and is expected to provide 15 jobs. Wow. Talk about a profit margin. Nothing like that in the growing of PEI spuds. As to security - no one stealing product could escape notice in a place that small - and no escape to the mainland on a bridge that long. Mr. Jewel, the operator is a master of understatement. He said theres strong potential for successful business. You bet there is. He also said that licenses have ben granted right across the country. He reported, as well, that all that there is left to do is await the return of approved security clearances and inspections of facilities, once ready to go. There is one for Moncton, N.B. run by OrganiGram Inc. This 20,000 foot facility is. expected to be inspected and running by the end of March. Stellarton, N.S. joins the family, spending between 4 and 5 million to gather in and convert a Clairtone Sound Corporation building to the production of weed. All of these facilities are directed at the medical market. No one will be allowed to grow their own plants after April 1. With the outrageous growth in the medical pot market predicted, all of these small communities will be be looking at cash inflow like they could only have dreamed about in earlier days - and, in PEI, half the island will be scrambling hard for 15 jobs. Since it is said to be an internet driven mail order business serving the entire province, one of the least desirable jobs in town will be delivering mail. Perhaps the Post Office knew more than they were telling us relative to reasons for discontinuing house to house delivery. By going to boxes, they can protect the cargo by using brinks type trucks with guards. Then the onus is on the owner of the package to protect himself by travelling in groups armed with clubs. A lone mail carrier could neither carry the load, or beat off assailants bent on grabbing off a free high. Are we having fun yet. It will not be long.
