Praise Makes Quakes. Praise gets results 2 Praise makes God arise and act. It is clear from the story of Paul and Silas when they were incarcerated in the prison, they raised their voices in praise and Praise got heaven to listen and Praise made a quake that set them free. Praise is a weapon in warfare. Psalm eight in its second verse says that the enemy and the avenger will be stilled or stopped in their tracks by the stronghold of praise. Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. As we praise every enemy is silenced in the mighty name of Jesus. It is highly commendable that at midnight in reality and midnight metaphorically, when loneliness and regret and negative feelings are meant to set in, Apostle Paul was strong and wise enough to praise. Just do the same, Praise when the enemy wants you sad, praise when the storms of life want you mad, praise even when you are far from glad; the fact that you praise will lead you to the raise you desire. You will rise above storms, you will rise above challenges, and you will see stuff turn around instead of defeat you in the mighty name of Jesus. Praise is a mighty weapon in warfare, like I said, praise will make God in all his glory get up and deal with a matter. Psalm 22:3 New Living Translation Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel. King James Bible But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. The above verses talk about God living in and being enthroned on praises. Praises welcomes God, Praise emphasize the power of God. Praises welcomes the Spirit of God to act. In 2 Chronicles 20—the story of how King Jehoshaphat led his nation to a great victory through praise and thanksgiving. Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.” And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the Lord, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying: “Praise the Lord, for His mercy endures forever” (vv. 20-21). In Hebrew, Praise the Lord means Hallelujah! And what happened when the tribe of Judah began praying, believing God, and singing Hallelujah? Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people … who had come against Judah; and they were defeated (v. 22). My prayer is that as you arise and praise God in this season, every work of darkness arrayed against you will be destroyed by the power of God. One Year Bible Plan Jeremiah 25-26; 2 Timothy 3
