Prayer request for my prayer partners. Please pray for favor concerning these situations. 1. The admissions director at Kingston Of Miamisburg Assisted Living Facility is coming tomorrow at 1:30 for an assessment. 2. I saw the Urology Surgeon today. I go in for surgery for LASER treatment. They are also doing a biopsy to make sure I dont have Prostate caner. If I do and it is still in stage 1, I will go to Miami Valley Medical Center in Dayton for Cyber Knife treatment. I will have to go 5 times for the treatment. It is non invasive, and similar to radiation treatments except it can be microscopically aimed at cancer cells without destroying surrounding healthy tissue. it will not cause pain or discomfort. Surgeon said 1st stage prostate cancer is curable. That will take place on August 21st. I will only be in the hospital for 2 days. 3. I saw my spinal surgeon today too. He wants to treat my back pain with a new type of electronic pain blocker. The device is called Neurostimulation Sensor. Often described as being similar to heart pacemakers, Neurostimulation Sensor devices are inserted into the spine and use electrodes to block the pain signals sent by the spine to the brain. By using a handheld remote, the doctor can program and control how much the nerves are stimulated. It is similar to a heart pace maker. It will be inserted in the spinal chord and will block pain signals to the brain. It is a fairly new device approved by the FDA April of 2012. It will run 24/7 on a rechargeable battery. If any adjustments need to be made I will go to the surgeons office and he will use a remote control to set the perimeters. I will also go once a year to have the battery checked and recharged. They can recharge it without invasion of my back. They will hold the charger against my skin and it will recharge the battery. He is also going to do some laparoscopic surgery to remove bone spurs on my upper spine between my shoulder blades. That will open the nerve channels so my arms will move normally. The surgery only requires a 2 day stay in the hospital. I am scheduled to see him again August 28th to make sure everything with the Urological surgery is not an issue before he schedules the surgery. Finally, things seem to be going in the right direction. Thanks for your prayers.
