Praying Autumn has an awesome day today as she starts school at the Middle School today! You guys may remember my post a couple weeks back about PE class and her Bullying teacher! Went to Principal that next morning to discuss my concerns and someone from the school had already showed her my status so she proceeded to blast me for putting something on FB! She never even gave me a chance to speak so I waited for her to finish and after she said the best thing for you to do is find another school over the Christmas break. Finally I got a chance to speak! First I said you havnt even listened to me and your already telling us to find another school? I asked her after her rant, has Autumn been in trouble in 6 years of being in this school? She said no. Said shes basically grown up here. I asked is it school policy that if a student cant finish a lap running and they walk part of it that the whole class gets punished and is made to run another lap? She said she didnt know, it was up to the teacher! I said, Up to the teacher? Some kids may not be able to do what everybody else is doing especially if its the coldest day of the year and the kid is got a horrible cold? (How do you not know? In a school of only 60 students you would think the Principle would at least know whats going on in PE, especially because her grandchildren are enrolled there!) next I asked is it school policy for a teacher to say to a student Autumn your never gonna have any friends if you keep this up because nobodies gonna like you, then I asked if you still walk is it school policy for the student to have to run for the rest of the period? She said she would have to check into that! (That day I picked Autumn up it was 32 degrees out and she was soaking wet and had taken her coat off because she was burning up). Here we are 19 days later and I guess shes still checking into it because Ive not heard one word from her! She also said I keep coming in the office with problems. I told her: Ive been in the office 3 times in 6 years! Once because Autumn was being bullied by a classmate. (Which it took me asking has his parents been made aware of what hes doing for her to even make a phone call to them.) her response to Autumn on bullying waswhy do you go home and tell your Dad these things you shouldnt tell him this stuff. I about flipped out and told Autumn you dont listen to her you come home and tell me everything!And the other two times because of this PE teacher belittling my child! After getting absolutely nowhere with the principal who showed no compassion for my daughter or anything I brought to her attention I decided there was no way I was gonna subject my child to this horrible teacher or a school who doesnt even know whats going on or what the guidelines are for a class! We invested 6 years in this private Christian school and its no wonder that enrollment is at an all time low! Autumns other teachers she had starting in Kindergarten through 5th grade were awesome and we were truly blessed for them to be apart of our lives! But You would think someone running a school (business) would AT LEAST SHOW COMPASSION AND/OR A CONCERNED EAR FOR ITS STUDENTS AND PARENTS WHO ARE PAYING TO GO THERE! I immediately pulled Autumn out of that school and she is excited to be starting at a new place! Thanks to all who have prayed and been there for us in this necessary change!
