Praying friends, please help us pray fervently for our familys - TopicsExpress

Praying friends, please help us pray fervently for our familys financial needs. One year ago today we stepped out by faith in the ministry; solely depending on God and his people. As with all families, things have been extremely tough. It seems as though a Biblical evangelist is being over-looked and forsaken by churches today. As in the article I posted last week says, Most independent Baptist churches do not use evangelists, and many that do, do not take proper care of them, when they do have them. Thank God for all the exceptions. We have sought a staff position, and have been told youre just an evangelist. WOW, lets diminish this work of God. That article also stated: It is heart breaking to see young evangelists starved out and so few entering into this ministry, because so many independent Baptist churches do not use them or take proper care of them... I’m sure that if pastors, who do not use worthy God-called and God-gifted evangelists, were called of God to be evangelists, they would be saying the same thing that I am saying. For the past 12 months all of our bills have been paid, but with little to no money to spare. We are living off of a guaranteed $475.00 a month from churches and friends. We have been blessed by some of you that have donated, and we are eternally grateful! With all that being said, last month DORS approved the funds for a new van for me to drive, praise God. We were hoping that we would not need to actually buy the van till it was being worked on. However, they made us purchase it, even before the work went out to bid. We bought a Dodge Grand Caravan a few weeks ago. We were very fortunate to get 90 day deferred interest on the payments. That means we know have an additional $476.00 in monthly bills (not to mention the increase in insurance adding a new vehicle). Reviewing our finances for the past 12 months, this will be impossible. We are now faced with the decision of whether or not I work a secular job again. Most people have the idea that I am on SSI or disability, well IM NOT! If there is anyone that deserves and desires to sit on the couch and live off the government its someone born w/o arms and legs. We love God, and our familys desire is to help others who are hurting (Because God know we are hurting too)! I have always lived the life as an able-bodied person, and that has really taken a toll on my body. The arthritis I have in my body, and the lack of gallbladder will make me working a secular full-time job impossible! We are wanting to stay in the ministry, but unless something HUGH happens in the next month or so, we will be forced to leave the ministry and depend on the secular world to pay our bills. I know what youre thinking, God can do it. Yes He can, but He uses humans to get the job done. We are praying for hearts to be soften and touched! We are needing an increase in our guaranteed monthly support by at least $500-$700, and we also need more scheduled meetings per month. Please, no ignorant comments, or it will be erased and you will be deleted!
