Praying is great to do for people, but, sometimes, people need more than just your prayers! They need your help in their situation. If GOD has blessed YOU with the means to help them, and you hold those means back from that person, then, you may as well hold back your prayer on their behalf too, because it is NOT considered fervent or righteous in the eyes of GOD who will be looking at you as the unrighteous goat you are for asking HIM to help that person after HE already helped them by putting you who HE knew had the resources to help them, in their path!! You cant explain this, no matter how much you try, you will NEVER be able to justify why you didnt give someone what they needed even though you know you had it to spare! GOD takes this so personal that HE says, when you dont help them, you didnt help ME!! (Matthew 25:41-46 MESSAGE BIBLE) “Then he will turn to the ‘goats,’ the ones on his left, and say, ‘Get out, worthless goats! You’re good for nothing but the fires of hell. And why? Because— I was hungry and you gave me no meal, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, I was homeless and you gave me no bed, I was shivering and you gave me no clothes, Sick and in prison, and you never visited.’ “Then those ‘goats’ are going to say, ‘Master, what are you talking about? When did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or homeless or shivering or sick or in prison and didn’t help?’ “He will answer them, ‘I’m telling the solemn truth: Whenever you failed to do one of these things to someone who was being overlooked or ignored, that was me—you failed to do it to me.’ “Then those ‘goats’ will be herded to their eternal doom, but the ‘sheep’ to their eternal reward.”
