Precious Cargo Community Support Services is looking for Family Support Workers (Full-time) Calgary and Area Salary: $20.00- $30.00 per hour Summary: Precious Cargo Community Support Services is an Aboriginal agency providing children and families with Transportation, Supervised Access as well as In-Home Support services. We focus on families inner strengths and offer them encouragement and support. We help nurture a positive self-esteem, build self-confidence and work on helping clients recognize and value their own self-worth. Qualifications: Diploma/undergraduate degree in one of the Human Sciences, Child Care or a related field and four years’ experience working with adolescents and families. In-home support experience preferred. Must have current Standard First Aid/CPR, Police Security check, CYIM, Driver’s License, Driver’s Abstract and own transportation. Description: Family Support Workers provide Supported Visitation, One:One and transportation services to children and their families that ensure the safety of all individuals and promote family wellness. Support is given to families through role modeling, assisting with parenting skills/ development, communication skills, management of crises, providing information about individual and family developmental, child and adolescent development and expectations.
