Prem bubs Question from Ariana My twin girls were born a week ago at 33 weeks and 3 days as one was growth restricted (blood flow issue with umbilical cord) . Weights 1.3kgs and 1.9kgs. They are stable and doing well but will be in nursery for another 2-3 weeks. A nurse suggested keeping them away for any kids and babies who often get sick for 6months, or if I socialise with kids have them not touch them. Easy to not have kids touch them but I do have a few friends with toddlers and I dont know that many mums and really wanted to do a mums group. The advice wasnt from the hospital more so from her individually. Now I dont know if I should avoid all contact with babies (so no Mothers groups) and kids (so see much less of close friends) or if its a bit overkill. I obviously dont want to put my babies at risk but I do want ti make friends with new mums to keep sane as well, and build new relationships. Thoughts and experiences please
