The home side scored all the five goals by the 38th minute of the game leaving the Black Queens to reorganise themselves to salvage some image. Striker Megumi Takase scored twice before further goals from Mizuho Sakaguchi, Kana Osafune, and Emi Nakajima condemned the Black Queens to the infamous defeat. Takase did not allow the Queens to settle and hit them with a strike in the first minute before Sakaguchi extended the lead ten minutes later. Takase doubled he tally in 18th minute to make 3-0 which left the Ghanaians confused. On the half-hour mark Osafune made it 4-0 while Nakajima made it a stroll in the park for the home side with a goal in the 38th minute. Japan defender Kana Nagafune (5) scores her side’s fourth goal during the first half of a women’s international friendly soccer match against Ghana in Tendo, Yamagata Prefecture, on Sept. 13, 2014. Japan won 5-0. (Kyodo) The match was the first time that a Nadeshiko Japan match has been held in Yamagata. The Queens are scheduled to play the Japanese national team as well as the Olympic team, who are both preparing for their respective qualifiers for the Women’s World Cup (WWC) and the Asia Games. Coach Yussif Basigi says the trip to Japan would help the technical bench to assess the strength and weakness of the team, as they aim to win the AWC for the first time and also qualify for the 2015 Women’s World Cup (WWC) in Canada. The Queens have been in camp since last July preparing for the tournament to be held from October 11 to October 25. Source: ghanasoccernet
