Presidents Message To all Geraldton Harriers, This is to ask all members to consider the opportunity to become involved in the committee of Geraldton Harriers Running, Walking and Pushing Club, to ensure the ongoing success of Harriers. The 2013 season has been extremely rewarding and many of the committee members will be seeking re -election, which is very pleasing. The Offices of Website Coordinator and Club Recorder, however will require new personnel, be it in one or more personnel to participate in such. As we know, many hands make light work, and this season has shown just what can be achieved by a positive and enthusiastic committee. Some of the roles have been shared, as well as in a senior and ‘understudy’ form, which has been very productive. As the President of Geraldton Harriers Club, I wish to sincerely offer my thanks to the many people who have worked very hard and given so much of their valuable time to make 2013 such a memorable season. I wish to thank Sally Short for her wonderful contribution as: Social Coordinator, Treasurer and Website Coordinator over the last 4 years. I wish to thank Maureen Taylor for her generous contribution of her time as the Time Keeper and Club Recorder. Please be advised that whilst being on the committee requires commitment, there are many outstanding rewards in the form of personal development and satisfaction in helping others within the Club and community in general. I wish to point out that with a strong, healthy and vibrant committee there is success, growth and a very special sense of belonging and progress for those involved. Please give thought to becoming a part of a very rewarding group of people who are prepared to work together for such a worthwhile result. As per Constitution, all positions will become vacant for the committee at the AGM. The office as President will naturally, also be open to any who feels disposed to assume the Role. Once again, I thank you for being involved with Harriers this season, and wish you good luck in the pursuit of your personal goals. I look forward to seeing you all at the AGM and season Windup on Sunday 15 September at the Geraldton Surf Life Saving Club at Mahomets Beach.
