Presidents Page Watching news reports regarding low interest rates. I was beginning to think this was not exclusive to the banks, but also the WAC! That is, until we received that financial bombshell at the beginning of this 80th year of the club. However, from our potential demise, what appeared was a significant rise in the rate of interest concerning the survival of the WAC! As we were to discover, our lease was on a tentative six-month basis! That has as now been extended to 15 years after extensive negotiations with our landlords Worcester City Council. With our immediate future now reasonably secure, it was now time to look forward! You may have noticed the exterior of the clubhouse as been significantly enhanced! This was made possible, entirely due to a group of WAC members who put in many long hours of their free time over several weekends. Initially doing the backbreaking preparation of not only the walls, but also the daunting task of the tower repairs, made possible, by the operation and free loan of personnel lifting equipment by our members, prior to and including repainting. This in preparation for our anniversary weekend, including the offer of a huge covered trailer, for the musicians to perform on during Saturdays festivities, once again supplied free of charge by a member! Sundays, Star Bike Awards were possibly the best-attended event of this type we have witnessed! If you were unable to offer assistance in any of the above?
