Press Release Extension Lecture Delivered by Mr. R.C. Chopra Ex-Director – MSME, Govt. of India at IHTM – M.D.U. Extension Lecture on “Identification of Industry Academia Collaboration and Entrepreneurship Development & Self Employment” was organised under Aegis of Director Career Counselling and Placement Cell, M.D University, Rohtak at Institute of Hotel & Tourism Management, MDU on 30th of Sept. 2014. Asst.Professor of IHTM Mrs. Gunjan Malik Minocha welcomed all the students participants from various departments of M.D.U. Prof. Kuldeep Chikkara, Director Career Counselling & Placement Cell M.D.U welcomed the Resource Person Mr.R.C. Chopra-Ex-Director, Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India and delivered inaugural address. Mr. Chopra highlighted on vital aspects pertaining to Industry – Academic Collaboration. He emphasised on enterprenemship development and self-employment to the youth, several illustrations, ways & means to achieve were discussed, role of district industry cell, Small Industry Development Bank of India and related facilitation agencies was highlighted. Further the scope of entrepreneurship in sectors like food sector, hospitality and tourism, garments, manufacturing and others was discussed. About two hundred students participated and benefited from the session. Dr. Ashish Dahiya – Director IHTM delivered note of thanks. Dr Jagdeep Singla & Dr Sanjay Nandal from IMSAR, Dr. Ranbir Singh, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, Sh. Manoj Kumar, Ms Shelley Duggal and other faculty members from IHTM were present in the session.
