Press Release ; Kenya Rowing and Canoe assocation (KRACA) confirms participation Kenya Canoe and Rowing teams in their respective World Championships in Duisburg Germany and Chungju Korea . Athletes participating in World Canoe Championships are Juma Araka ( Disabled- Paracanoe Men in LTA class ), Samuel Maina in Junior Kayak Single , accompanied by Margaret Mukami as Coach and Classier and Seif Patwa as International Canoe Umpire . Atheltes participating in World Rowing Championships iin Chung-Ju Korea are Diana Wanyonyi In Women Lightweight Single scull and Stephen Ojanji in Men Lightweight Single scull accompanied by Firoz Khan as Coach and Richard Olakhi National delegate for World Rowing Congress. The participation of the teams has been greatly supported by various agancies and organizations both national and International including , Ministry of Sports and Arts and National Olympic Commitee, with the International Canoe Fedearation (ICF ) , Confederation of African Canoe(CAC) , International Rowing federation (FISA) providing additional crucial technical support and assistance with equipment and Junior coaching camps . At the time of confirmation, the teams were awaiting word on Kenya National team Uniforms and Allowances for the teams from the Ministry and National Olympic Commitee officials . Meanwhile KRACA preparations are underway for selection trials on September 6-7-8 in Mombasa , for Particpation in the Africa Continental Championships in Tunisia , which are qualifiers in Rowing and Canoeing for the 2nd Youth Olympic Games and Africa Youth games in 2014 . KRACA wil also host a Special celebration event to mark KENYA @ 50 with a Dragon Boat Festival in Mombasa on October 28th and 29th open for all Clubs, Media and Corpoarate ,Parastatals Schools , University teams and Uniformed teams .
