Press Release-Shoplifting Arrest On Monday January 5, 2014 at approximately 3:35 pm the Egg Harbor Township Police responded to Shoprite in the English Creek Shopping Center, in the Cardiff section of the township, in reference to a shoplifting. Sergeant Per, Officer Michael Niceta and Officer Kevin Devlin responded and made contact with a Loss Prevention officer from Shoprite who had stopped the suspect attempting to leave the store with $237.86 in baby formula without paying for it. The suspect, Brianna Ross (25 years of age from Galloway Township), was taken in to custody. Further investigation at the scene led to the recovery of additional baby formula, the recovery of drug paraphernalia and the arrest of a second suspect, Zachary Wolfe (22 years of age from Egg Harbor Township). The additional baby formula was found to have been stolen from the Walmart Store in Hamilton Township. Ross was charged with shoplifting on this date. She was also charged with similar incidents of shoplifting baby formula from the same Shoprite on December 23rd, 29th, 30th and 31st. There may be additional charges against Ross from other jurisdictions for similar criminal activity. Bail on these charges was set by Municipal Court Judge H.R. Switzer at $5000.00 full. Ross was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility. Wolfe was charged with possession of a hypodermic needle and released on a summons with a date to appear in court. This case was investigated by Detectives Robert Harte and Shawn Owen of the Egg Harbor Township Criminal Investigations Bureau.
