Press statement........Minister Laments kidnappings ,Killings in Gumsuru Minister of State ,Power,Hon Mohammed wakil has lamented the killings and kidnappings of villagers in Gumsur village,calling on security agencies to increase preemptive protection for villages along the insurgency belt. Reacting Thursday night to the invasion of Gumsuru village in Borno state,the Minister said killings and kidnappings are both anti-God and anti-people and urged men of conscience to rise against these evil happenings. Innocents men women and children are daily killed and displaced. Which holy book condone man inhumanity to man? We are under attack by Godless forces who shed blood with such impunity. I symphatise and condole the families of victims. May Almighty Allah touch the hearts of these agents of death so that they will allow peace to reign in our land. I also called on security forces to introduce new measures to protect villages along the insurgency belt. It is time to anticipate such attacks and preempt the insurgents the minister said.
