Pretty damn pissed off this morning to find out that no less than 4 gates are pie below the wall at Rocklands Reservoir......how are we supposed to hit a trigger point to get water into Toolondo if all the is water is barrelling down the Glenelg River and out to sea ? This is just rape of the locals and communities that need tis valuable resource to survive.......I think its time that Catchment Management Authorities were held responsible for decisions made ? In no way shape or form do I hold local water authority GWM responsible for this as they are dictated to by the CMA,s and the water minister. As I see it the Minister, Mr Peter Walsh is holding a grudge against Lake Toolondo and its surrounding community. The districts downstream of Rocklands at this point have no requirement for water as they have had more than sufficient rainfall, in fact flooding on lower lying areas has occurred once again. We have one of the most marketable and profitable fisheries on our doorstep that generates massive ( unforeseen ) tourism and visitors dollars that is under serious threat by the mismanagement of these government bodies........when will someone step up to the plate and make a stand against whats so morally wrong ? Believe me there will be major steps taken next week to put an end to this pain and suffering and anyone who stands for what we believe in is encouraged to get on board and support us as every plea we have made in the past has fallen on deaf ears ! Now is the time and Im sick and tired of relying on people and authorities that promise to do this or that and drop the ball ever time it gets too hard or they get told no and go back into there comfort zone or just get told to sweep it under the mat......no more, Ive had enough and this time I am going to something about it.
