Prince Chinedu Obi of Okorobi Umueshi To the glory of God, I am full of excitement and most determined with the overwhelming support and enthusiasm of my people as I declared my intention last Saturday to run for the Ideato North /South Federal Constituency seat in 2015. It is my hope that God who gives power will make this dream a reality. The stage is ripe for Nigerians with passion for Good Governance to embrace the challenge of reclaiming the nation to the people. I am passionate and very optimistic that we are approaching an era, where power will truly belong to the people. The nation is in dire need of change in the character of governance and institutional decay as well as impunity among state actors. The legislature must brace up for people oriented legislation and oversight that will promote Good Governance, equity and fair play that will usher in a regime of infrastructural development, employment for all Nigerians, social security, protection of lives and property, rule of law, quality health care system, food security and affordable housing for all Nigerians. It is sad that a nation with so much physical and and natural endowment, including human resources is yet to find its bearing among the comity of nations. I believe in the indivisibility Nigeria. I believe in the strength our diversities and a United Nigeria. This is the time to commence the localization and appropriation of all natural endowments for a sustainable development of the nation. These are all possible with the right vision and will drive the change we all crave for. I am in the race due to this firm conviction. For me, there is no hiding for an idea whose time has come. May God bless our aspirations and bless Nigeria, Amen!
