Priorities: Relationships Espouse tr.v. es·poused, es·pous·ing, es·pous·es 1. a. To take in marriage; marry. b. To give (a woman) in marriage. 2. To give ones loyalty or support to (a cause, for example); adopt. First off its an investment. Dating or boyfriend or girl friend is no where in the bible.. There is no formal agreement in boyfriend & girlfriend. It takes us away from priorities. Its the cheap way out for a man & the woman is selling herself short. It is the job of the man to gain the trust, & lay down what he will do for the woman.. When the woman sees that she can trust the man, that he has her best interest at heart & he will do what he says he will do then she can either accept or reject what he has to offer.. Its not mean to reject however if later down the line she is displeased with the 7/11 job that she accepted & she knew that that was the best that he had then she is mean or out of order. This will take however long it needs to but the title of boyfriend & girlfriend should not be apart of the line of thinking for Christians because God does not lead us to things that will take us away from Him. It is the mans job to take care of the woman once they are espoused or engaged. It should be every mans aim to put himself in position to espouse. The word says, He who finds a wife finds a good thing and gains favor. Therefore, of the woman finds the man there will be no favor given of God. Time=Value When waste our time playing relationship games we lose value; when you lose value you have to settle. Also check out 1 Corinthians 7 for more on relationships.
