PROLECTURE offers control over the framing position, rotation, reflectivity and more all with in Final Cut Pro X. With the PROLECTURE title overlay, users have full control over when and where their presented material starts with ease all with a click of a mouse. Welcome to a ProLecture Lesson Welcome to a ProLecture Lesson from Pixel Film Studios. ProLecture allows Final Cut Pro X users to create clean, professional presentations. Users simply have to drag the adjustment layer above their footage, fill the drop zone and customize the look. ProLecture will do the rest. From keynotes to slideshows, ProLecture can help take your next presentation to the next level. Step 1 - Preparing the Timeline Let’s begin by selecting a clip or image in the FCPX media library and dragging it to the timeline. Once, you have your media in the timeline, go to the FCPX titles library to locate the ProLecture presets. Scan through the animation types and select the one that best matches the look you want. Then, drag the adjustment layer above your footage on the Final Cut Pro X timeline and make it the same length as the clip. Step 2 - Filling the Drop Zone Once we have our ProLecture layer setup, it’s time to fill the drop zone. Go to the FCPX media library and select the video or photo that you would like to place in the frame. Drag the media into the timeline below the original media and make it the same length. If you are using a video clip, you will need to compound the clip “by-itself”. This is a strange but necessary step since the 10.6 update to FCPX. Move the playhead to the first frame of your compound clips and select the adjustment layer in the timeline. Now click the first Drop Zone icon in the Inspector window. Select the video clip as close to the beginning as possible, and click the blue Apply Clip button in the FCPX Viewer window. It is extremely important to follow these steps perfectly or the clip will freeze-up during playback. Once you are done filling the drop zone, you can delete the media from the timeline. Step 3 - Positioning the Media Now that we have our Drop Zone filled, it’s time to adjust the position, rotation and scale of where we want our media to sit. Move the playhead to the middle of the clip. Go to the Presenter Controls section. Use the position parameter to adjust where you want original media to sit in the environment. Then go to the Drop Zone Controls section to position and rotate the Secondary media. Step 4 - Setting up the Animation Once you have your media situated, it’s time to customize the animation. Go to the Framing Controls section. Use the Framing position and rotation parameters to set where you want the camera to move to in the middle of the animation. Next, go to the Start and End Controls section of the Inspector. Use the Transition drop down menu to choose curvature of the animation speed. The use the Position and Transition Time Sliders to control how long you want the animation to take. For instance, if you set the Start transition time to 100% it will take the entire first half of the clip to for the animation in to happen. Final Touches Now for some Final Touches. Let’s fine tune a few more parameters to get the look we want. Go to the Reflectivity Controls section. Set the opacity, color and blur of your reflections to your liking. Finally set the color of your background. _______ FOLLOW LIPSapp Smooth Radio _______ FB: r-js/1wsLIZx / TW: r-js/1wsLDoS / Listen to LIPSapp Smooth Radio r-js/1dOIQ18 #jazz #blues #randb #mariahcarey #tonibraxton #tedeschitrucks #davekoz #boneyjames
