This includes short term assignments to major Capital Projects at various stages of the lifecycle, supporting the development of the Project IM Strategy and Plan, determining the IM contribution to the Project Contracting Strategy and the drafting of IM components of the Scope of Work in Major Execution Contracts (e.g. FEED,EPC,EPCM). � Define and maintain standards, technical solutions, execution models and best practices for IM in Capital Projects. IM Consultant for Capital Projects will typically find themselves engaged in a combination of activities selected from (but not limited to) the following: 1) Consultancy On demand of Project IM/IT Managers and IM Leads provide consultancy services to Capital Projects on practical matters of executing IM scope. This will typically involve assignments of 6-8 weeks in duration, depending upon the size and complexity of the project. Assignments will include travel. 2) Standards, Solutions and Best Practices � Develop standard approach to what engineering deliverables are produced by certain design tool. � Maintain and improve global IM standards and processes. � Identify, store and publish best practices on executing IM in Capital Projects � Develop and upkeep templates and solution blueprints for use in future projects. 3) IM Community and Skill Pool Development � Organize and participate in open forums, develop and actively promote use of collaboration tools for best practice sharing and information dissemination. � Develop and deliver training programs promoting best practices and typical solutions amongst the IM community through face-to-face and blended learning via Shell’s proprietary learning platform. The role’s inherent exposure to capital projects IT and IM, multiple business areas and disciplines (e.g. project engineering, project services, etc.) offers ample opportunities for developing new technical and project execution skills as well as for building a wide network of professional contacts.
