Productive day today. Got rid of some things under the house. cheaply sold on sell sites. Good way to clean up. Still bit to go. I am surprised i still have two twin NEC aircons with remotes. Cold and i still have them in this heat??? Oh well it will get a lot hotter yet here. This morning i was called to have a meeting at reid park here. Searchers are looking for two howlitzer cannons that were captured from the germans in world war one. The were on the beachfront pointing out over the ocean here in townsville until 1968. Then council accidently ordered there disposal at a local dump site. Years later in 1972 i was laying strom water pipes through that same land when we stumbed on them with the backo. Anyway i sat on a barrel of one and stuck my empty coke can down the inside. After we laid the pipes it was filled back in. Now its been long lost. Now historians along with council are trying to find them. Thats where i come in. I am the last one to see them! So i can almost go stand on top of them. So now they have to get radar equip and check ground readings. The dig should happen in couple of weeks. Once there found they wil prob make a fuss of me retrieving my coke can long rusted by now. I told them i dont want to be in the spotlight. I will just wittness the dig. I am a christian and not interested in their war trophys. I have showed them the location and yes i wiii get whats left of my coke tin. So that was my day. All good :) keep smiling!
