Professional quality mastering is a luxury for most independent producers. Its sad to see talented musicians either master their own music poorly or pay $30 over the internet for a master with empty promises of being wider, phatter and louder than everything else. As a supporter of up and coming artists, producers, bands and record labels, I would like to open the opportunity to anyone to have their music professionally mastered without the price tag. In return for the work, the artists or groups must come up with a creative form of payment. Acceptable examples include: A folder of unique drum samples, a pdf document explaining a rare production technique, your own music on vinyl, an old house record (good vinyl is actually worth more than money in this circumstance), an old drum machine you dont use any more etc etc. The more left of field and creative, the better. Email a link to your music, a description of your creative payment method and a message to info@breakneckmastering or to the Breakneck facebook page before midnight on Wednesday, the 7th of May.
