Professor Adesegun Fatusi... I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER... March, 2009 As a young leader of 400+ undergraduates, I was just recovering from the shock of loosing a fellowship member to a ghastly motor accident on our way to a wedding. I needed someone to talk to... Anyone that will reaffirm to me that I (and the whole fellowship) remain in the centre of Gods Divine Agenda. Dad, you were there! January, 2010 As a fresh author of a first book, I needed someone that believed in me and in my future to proof-read, edit, and Foreword the book... Again, Dad, you were there! December, 2011 When I was stuck in the muddy waters of struggling between Gods will and family traditions in the area of maritals...I sent you a 4-paged email address... And, again, Dad, you were there! April, 2012 When I perceived a call into full time ministry as a fresh-from-NYSC young man, I needed the confirmation of my perception and an inspirational encouragement to pursue my God-given mandate... Again, Dad, Promptly, you were there! November, 2012 When I was recovering from that stubborn 2-month cough, you (and your great wife) were also there! ~I remember the night you came to drop me at home. Wed been together all evening in your office and then you decided to bring me home before heading for your house since it was raining. You stayed in my house for a while for us to finish our talk. Then you held my hands and we prayed together. (Ill never forget that scene in a hurry!)~ April, 2013 I wont forget our ride to Ife from Lagos, together in your official car...and the priceless nuggets you shared on the trip! November 2014 My parents were at your inaugural, and this my dad said to me after the inaugural was over: No wonder you chose THIS MAN as your mentor...HES SIMPLY PHENOMENAL, YET, SO HUMBLE! (...except that I didnt choose you, in fact, you chose me into sonship, but God orchestrated it all!) And thats why Im celebrating you today... ~To the FATHER-of-the-year on his birthday~ Its your day Dad! Im so grateful to God that I met you and found another DAD in you! Im proud to call you my MENTOR & ROLE MODEL everywhere I go... EVERY detail (in this new year) works to your ADVANTAGE and to GODS GLORY: more and more *grace*, more and more *people*, more and more *praise*! (2 Cor 4:15 MSG). Happy Birthday Dad! With Love...
