Progressing in non-SS/SL - TopicsExpress

Progressing in non-SS/SL programs. reddit/r/Fitness/comments/2d6eir/progressing_in_nonsssl_programs/ I am heavily involved with an organization on campus the promotes sound mind and sound body and expects our members to lead a life of sound mind sound body. Well we tend to do better at Sound Mind than sound body, although we do extremely well in intramurals. ;) Anyways we organize events in our organization to help improve the member through out the time in college. One such program that has been severely lacking is Healthy Eating and Healthy Exercise. My goal is to go over the basics of Nutrition with help from a professor on campus who has helped us in the past. I want to include basic cooking and tupper ware meal ideas. The other part which will get the guys most interested, is in building a work out routine where I will also use the same professor to go to the gym with us and discuss proper form on the major lifts. If I had my way, I would shove Strong Lifts down there throats and force them to GAINZ. But of course some people will not be interested in squatting 3 times a week. Albeit I will reinforce that squatting gets you big. I personally did SL for a few months and I now am doing the 5/3/1 Triumvirate template and it is even better. I love this program. Anyways, so while I will promote Strong Lifts, as it has helped me out so much and the literature is all there on the web to explain progression, I will also promote other programs like: bodybuilding/fun/steve-cook-big-man-on-campus-12-week-college-trainer.html and PHAT, PHUL, and PPL. My issues with these programs is that I dont know how to explain progression in these programs be sides add weight once you are able to perform the set number of reps Would that be it? Say for Bench Press 4x12, if I am able to complete 4x12 at 135, the next time would I say do 4x12 at 140? If someone could explain progression in a more hypertrophy focused program, or lead me to a source that does, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advanced. (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ Know someone who uses Ebay?
