Each mechanism is executed at a microscopic level with perfection, reliability and precision. Protein Synthesis is a miniature magic that leaves me speechless each time I watch it. Each cell has a nucleus, the center that contains the blueprint for how we are made, in the form of genes which together is called DNA. Human beings have about 24,000 genes. Each gene is a collection of 4 types of molecules (ACTG) arranged in a particular combination. When there is a signal to make a protein, a copy of the relevant gene is made and this called RNA. The RNA is transported outside of the nucleus to the cytoplasm, part of the cell outside the nucleus.
