Protests in Tral in memory of slain militants SHOWKAT DAR SmallerDefaultLarger Tral, June 23: Amid complete shutdown, protests were held in Tral area of district Pulwama on Monday on the Chaharum (Fourth Day) of three local militants killed in an encounter with security forces last week. Hundreds of residents including men, women and children assembled in the native village of militant Tariq Parray in Lurgam and staged protests. Hurriyat leaders Zafar Akbar Bhat and Javed Ahmad Mir also joined the protests. Later hundreds of protesters marched to Dadsara and Ratsuna, the native villages of other two slain militants, Aadil Mir and Aadil Shah. The protesters were raising pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. The residents visited the graves of all three militants and offered prayers for them.
