Proud Dad but sad. re: his post on his fb page (Scott-Josette Salas-Peterson) Scott hasnt told anyone but he received the Coast Guard Commendation medal last week for saving the CG over $280,000 by his recommendations and engineering modifications he initiated. That medal is quite prestigious. A couple of years ago he was also awarded the 14th CG district (entire Pacific) reservist of the year. Just gotta brag about my son. Im sad because he was employed full time by MDA for 24 years, far longer than anyone else, reached a senior management position (boat ops manager) which he held for many years, and on his last day there was not even a small get together to honor him. Onward and certainly upward....
