Proverbs 6:34 “For jealousy makes a man furious, and he will not spare when he takes revenge” what I find unfortunate is the men and women online who openly share how they are” jealous” lovers, I even have had the opportunity to observe discussions where men were saying they prefer a girl to be jealous because they feel that’s how you know she truly cares. What these people fail to comprehend is how detrimental and dangerous the entire concept of jealousy is. Jealousy isn’t just counterproductive for personal growth but it distances us from GOD and brings us a lot closer to our own selfish desires. Love, the real true love that GOD has for each of us has no room for jealousy, and one of the jobs we have as believers is to model that love. Jealousy hurts people; it motivates people to hurt others as well as themselves. It can bring a person to key another person’s car from the lower end of the spectrum to actually inspiring someone to assault and possibly kill. It’s imperative we not allow ourselves to fall into such a practice.
