Psalm 37:3-7 Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. I know what it’s like to fight the world and everyone in it. I’m good at it. I’ve spent a lifetime giving people advice. Don’t people know that I know what is best? “How to be Happy According to Lacy,” would be a best seller. But nobody ever listens to me. They continue to do as they please. Then one day somebody told me that I am powerless over people, places and things. They said that I need to get off the director’s chair and quit trying to run the show. That chair belongs to God. He really is an intelligent God. He really does know what I need. He even knows what is best for my husband, my children, my friends and all of the people I disagree with. They told me my only job is to pray. I pray that He would guide me. I pray for wisdom in helping those around me who are still sick. I trust that He has a plan and that I can be part of that plan. But He is the director and I am simply a servant. Use me God, I pray. Guide me and show me the way; your way. Thought To Meditate On: If God could do anything for His people, it would be to do everything.
