Psalms 23:1 1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. The end of the year is fast approaching and our tolerance for the things that we have been struggling with the whole year is wearing thin. The problems we have been praying fervently to be resolved which are still there feels very frustrating. For those who wrote their years resolutions at the beginning of the year and are reading it now. It can be depressing to realise that only a tiny fraction of their goals have been achieved. We may be going through all these emotional and psychological struggles because of our perceived failures, but we can choose to say it is well. God has seen us through all the ups and downs of the year. He has rejoiced with us in the good times and mourned with us in the bad. He has made sure that through it all we never lack our basic necessities. He has provided for our bills to the last penny. He has given us favour in our workplace so we remain employed. Those who own businesses, He has provided customers. In sicknesses, He gives us good health and excellent medical professionals. We have no need to worry because God is in control of everything and has good plans to prosper us every year. In certain years our progress may come quickly but may be slow in other years which all works together for our good. No matter what is happening because of God, we will not want.
