Psalms 57:7 My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will - TopicsExpress

Psalms 57:7 My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise. Isaiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you: because he trusts in you. Many of us deceive ourselves to think being a christian is all about going to church for a few hours, paying our tithes and we can thereafter live anyhow, however, christianity is a lifestyle, it is trusting in God always, making a decision to walk with Christ, having our minds stayed in the Lord. They that are stayed in the Lord are those who are hold on to the promises of God without compromise nomatter what calamities befall them, through good & bad times they stay true to the Lord as the needle is to the pole. Just like the 3 hebrews, Job, Daniel, Paul & Silas nothing could convince them otherwise, they had their minds made up to follow Jesus, though they faced many trials, tribulations & adversities, their faith kept them going strong & knew that God was in control. There is peace in trusting in God for we rest assured that He will take care of whatever situation we go through. Joseph Scriven penned the following words of promise to they that trust in God: What a Friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer! O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer. Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged; take it to the Lord in prayer. Can we find a friend so faithful who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness; take it to the Lord in prayer. Are we weak and heavy laden, cumbered with a load of care? Precious Savior, still our refuge, take it to the Lord in prayer. Do your friends despise, forsake you? Take it to the Lord in prayer! In His arms He’ll take and shield you; you will find a solace there. Blessed Savior, Thou hast promised Thou wilt all our burdens bear May we ever, Lord, be bringing all to Thee in earnest prayer. Soon in glory bright unclouded there will be no need for prayer Rapture, praise and endless worship will be our sweet portion there. My prayer is that may our hearts be fixed & our minds be stayed in the Lord, nomatter what we face may He give us the strength to hold on until the end, to run the race with patience & endurance. Happy sabbath
