May 2014-May 2015 In this weeks article we look at the devastating effects of climate change in detail and how such change is going to impact onto Mama Africa and its wildlife alike. Climate change is to have a disastrous effect on Africa within the next 100 years, by 2050 we are going to see a 2oc temperature rise with some 15 species of animals pushed from extant to extinction. Now lets digest that number a minute, 15 species may not seem much. However just one species of mammal can represent some 100,000 individuals. THATS A BIG LOSS! Co2 emissions are still ravaging the planet of which greenhouse gasses are now placing Africa on a downward spiral of complete destruction. Africa is still a developing continent. South Africa is most certainly going to see more upsurge of migrants of which will displace local indigenous tribes and wildlife. Before the Vegan activists start with the old go vegan please read and read carefully. Going vegan is not an answer to the current climate impacts that not just affect Africa but the entire planet.
