Vertigo has kicked in full force, have let the appropriate people in mgmt know.....mid second half of St. Mathews Passions, a stunning and monumental work I was performing with the GRSO last night, I began to be unable to focus my eyes on the music. At first I thought I was just exhausted from sitting through the arias and recitatives. I then thought my sugar is low but Id just eaten half of a veggie burrito.......never dawned on me, til this afternoon that I was in the beginnings of a vertigo episode.....typically they last anywhere from a day to a day and a half. The problem is it affects motor function because of the rapid eye mvmt which is associated with an episode. For me REM its the precursor, it brings on nausea and the like. I have been training to learn how to be with it so the nausea doesnt bother me anymore. Seen specialists and there is no cure........i.e. learning to live with it..........gfati
