Purim celebrations across FSU The Jewish calendar leap year includes an extra month, not just one day! Purim in the FSU The months of Adar I and Adar II allow for more time to teach our students about the amazing holiday of Purim and its secret messages. In our ‘Or Avner’ Network, 120 kindergartens, 90 schools, 25 institutes of higher education, 10 orphanages and more than 12,000 pupils are learning about Queen Esther, the four Mitzvoth of Purim and the amazing story of the Megilla. Each of our communities across the FSU has special activities and classes planned for Purim, including carnivals, costume contests, parties, concerts, special events and off course public Megilla readings.
