QCPD’s celebrates its 74th Founding Anniversary Quezon City Police District (QCPD) celebrates its 74th Founding Anniversary today (November 25, 2013) at Camp Karingal Sikatuna, Village, Quezon City. The activity was graced with the presence of the Quezon City officials led by City Mayor Hon. HERBERT CONSTANTINE M BAUTISTA and City Vice-Mayor Hon. JOY BELMONTE, NCRPO Director PCSUPT MARCELO P GARBO JR., and former QCPD Director PCSUPT NICASIO J RADOVAN (Ret). QCPD Director PCSUPT RICHARD A ALBANO congratulated the QCPD personnel who were awarded for their exemplary performance. He also congratulated local officials, media personnel and other civilians who were given recognition for their contribution and support to the QCPD’s anti-criminality programs. In his message, PCSUPT ALBANO was so grateful for the support of the QCPD personnel, the local government officials and the public which is instrumental for the significant accomplishments of the QCPD. He especially thanked the local government under the stewardship of Mayor BAUTISTA for the continuous support in terms of logistics which is imperative in the operational aspect of the QCPD. The Quezon City government has just released one hundred (100) units handheld radios and fifty (50) base radios. Soon, fifty (50) units of patrol cars, one (1) Rosa Van, two hundred (200) pieces each of assault rifle (Galil Ace 21 N), ballistic vest and kevlar will be released to beef up the QCPD’s operational capability. Meanwhile, Mayor BAUTISTA lauded the QCPD personnel for their valuable service to the Quezon City constituents and he challenged them to further work hard to maintain peace and order in the city.
