QMTB Members, The QMTB will be holding elections for all club officer positions in January 2015. There will be three election administrators in order to ensure a fair election, they are Brian Murphy, Mark Ramirez and Jennifer Schmand. The nominee period will begin today 13 December 2014 and end 5 January 2015, during this time anyone may nominate someone or perhaps volunteer themselves by emailing all three election administrators. The election administrators will compile all nominees and volunteers and generate a voting ballot NLT 10 January 2015. The voting period will begin 10 January and end 22 January 2015. We will have a club meeting on Friday 23 January 2015 at the Clubs at Quantico to finalize the vote, identify and introduce the club officers. A copy of our By-Laws are attached if you wish to review prior to making your decisions. The positions within the club are listed below (incumbents are listed in parentheses). President: (Brandon Farley) The President shall schedule, plan, and preside over Club meetings. The President shall also be responsible for representing the Club in all dealings with the Base Commander and MCBQ MCCS, as well as ensure the Club operates in accordance with these by-laws and applicable Marine Corps Base Orders. Vice President: (Jim Long) The Vice President shall assume the responsibilities of the President in his/her absence and serve as the liaison to external organizations and other base support agencies. Treasurer: (Julie Lecea) The Treasurer shall oversee the Clubs financial responsibilities and ensure all proper forms are kept, filed, and disseminated in regards to all local, state, and federal requirements. Secretary: (Brian Balas) The Secretary shall maintain the clubs day-to-day business activities. These activities shall include but are not limited to membership requests, membership rosters, meeting minutes, organizational files, etc. The Secretary shall also assist the President with preparing for the upcoming meetings for the Club. Trail Coordinator: (Vacant) The Trail Coordinator shall be responsible for organizing and maintaining oversight for all Club-sponsored trail maintenance and coordinate all trail maintenance issues with the National Resources and Environmental Affairs Branch aboard MCBQ. Ride Coordinator: (Darin Wink) The Ride Coordinator shall be responsible for organizing and maintaining oversight for all Club-sponsored recreational rides, both on and off MCBQ. Event Coordinator: (Vacant) The Event Coordinator shall be responsible for organizing any upcoming events the Club may wish to host, or participate in. Outreach Coordinator: (John Paul JP Cooley) The Outreach Coordinator shall be responsible for club promotion, and club participation in outside events.
