QOD: When it comes to money matters, American teens are lagging behind their peers in other countries. That is according to a new study that examined the financial literacy of 15 year-olds around the world. Australia and New Zealand for example, both have national programs and mandates that require personal finance in schools, so their kids are getting a much more organized education of personal finance than in the U.S. The OECD study ranked the 15 year-olds in the middle of the pack and one glaring reason is the lack of financial education in U.S schools, so it falls on parents to fill the gap. So we ask- Do you think our teens have good financial literacy? Do you teach your kids financial literacy?
