QUESTION: Is there anyway to know if my prayer for my loved is working? ANSWER: After certain time in prayer, you may notice that the burden may be lifted and a spirit of lightness may prevail. This usually mean the answer is assured even though it may not yet be manifested, (cf. Daniel 10:12-13). ( Daniel prayer was heard the first day but was not answered until twenty-one days later). The person living in sin is blinded(cf II Cor. 4:3-4) and unaware of danger he /she is in, like a drunken driver careening down the road at high speed. Hence, we need to brake the power of the enemy over our unsaved love ones and to open their eyes from the blindness that he has imposed upon them. The witnessing is the witnessing of Christs light in the darkness (v. 6)and this light and power must now shine trough us, so that others can say that the power within must come from God and not ourselves (v.7). Our concern for spiritually weak loved one, may be a burden for us but only in praying and fasting for them can we carry their burden(cf Rom.15:1 and Gal. 6:2).
