Queenslands Department of Transport and Main Roads (Queensland) has launched the next wave of their road safety awareness campaign. Part of the long running Join The Drive road safety approach, the campaign comprises a series of videos, bumper stickers as well as a ‘10 ways to look out for each other’ online animation. The videos have a central theme of one good deed leads to another and shows various road encounters and how they can be better managed to ensure everyone remains safe and courteous. While its encouraging to see a video focussed on bike riders, we would have hoped it would address the trial legislation in greater detail. The throwaway line at the end of the TVC to stay wider of the rider gives no metric, no link back to the 1m and 1.5m requirement. youtu.be/cNM3L3lGJiE You can view all the ads here, and order your bumper stickers also: jointhedrive.qld.gov.au/share-the-road/tvcs
