Question by mrs. me: who do you tip?? do you tip the person who carries out your groceries, or the car hops at sonic????? who do you tip and who dont you tip??? Best answer: Answer by I Am LegendI tip whoever I feel deserves it. I tip the person who bags my groceries (I usually just give them the coins I get as change from the transaction). I tip them because that was my brothers first job and he didnt actually receive a paycheck for that job - he volunteered at the supermarket for free and depended on whatever tips he received. I tip waitresses at restaurants and diners depending on the service (bad service = 15%, but if I get someone who gives me excellent service Ill leave up to 100% of what my meal cost). I also tip waitresses at diners or restaurants if I order something to go and they are the one to ready my order. I always tip valets (especially because I used to be one). I also tip my barber (usually 100%, which is only about $ 10, since thats what my haircut costs). And I also tip bartenders (depends on the drink, but no less than $ 2 or $ 3 per drink). I dont usually take cabs a lot (I drive), but I do try to tip them whenever they get me somewhere safely. Also, I make sure to tip guys who do heavy lifting (i.e. guys who deliver things like refridgerators, tvs, etc.). They usually get about $ 20. Oh, and one of the most important people to tip (and one who lots of people overlook) - my mechanic. Everyone knows its incredibly hard to find a good mechanic, but when you do find out, make sure you tip him (even if its only $ 10 or $ 20) no matter how much the service hes performing costs. Hell treat you (and your car) better and maybe give you breaks in respect to pricing in the future. I thinks thats about it. I dont have anyone working for me that I need to tip during the holiday season (doormen, babysitter, nanny, etc.). Give your answer to this question below!
