Question for Jeff: If you and the three Candidates you support get elected what would be your plans for the Cedar school? Would you reverse the decisions of the last school board regarding the Cedar School? Answer: I, like many others, believe that the facilities plan was extremely detrmental to the Cedar community and made no sense whatsoever financially. The parents have done their homework. They brought valid information to the School Board and their input was totally disregarded. The plan needs to be revisited. Follow Up Question for Jeff: So by revisited do you mean that you are in favour of reopening the school and if you are which school do you think should be closed instead. Its looking like now we will have a shortfall of $7M. how do you plan on dealing with that shortfall? Answer from Jeff: Basically wanting a plan that makes sense. It is not up to me personally how our resources are to be used and what schools would be impacted. This should be a group decision that will have wider approval and not appear to target one area. Cedar parents actually had a plan that they could live with. Still a major change but much more logical.
