Question from Jana Moffett Legere: Does anyone know the girl named Brooke from Oklahoma who was a drug intervention show about 4 years. The family knew it was Lyme. I just watched the show and bawled my eyes out. The family was so mean to her It was an LMN series on drug intervention. I youtube it under brooke and intervention. She is the ultimate story of how the IDSA guidelines are so flawed. Hospitalized for a month and NO one thought to test for Lyme...even though she had the rash, flu symptoms, severe pain and later developed RA. The mom took her to a Lyme doctor who showed her the test was possible. Parents were angry because she didnt believe it and that they said Lyme is easy to cure. Totally dismissing her severe pain and need for medication. I hope she is still alive and somebody knows her.
