Questions that came to me while in synagogue on Rosh - TopicsExpress

Questions that came to me while in synagogue on Rosh Hashana: Rosh Hashana marks the anniversary of mans creation (ie day 6 of creation). Jews (Im centrist orthodox) believe that on this anniversary, G-d judges all of mankind based on their previous year on Earth. Im wondering: 1. Do Muslims have a date on which they believe Adam was created? 2. Is anything special believed to happen on this date/is it celebrated in anyway? 3. Is there a day of judgement on the Muslim calendar and if so is it believed to be a day of judgement for only Muslims, only for people of the book, or for all people? As part of the Rosh Hashana liturgy we relate to Hashem as both King and Father but emphasize the aspect of King. The reason is that since this is the anniversary of man being created, it is also the anniversary of G-d becoming King (since until man was created He had no one to be King over). Im wondering: 1. Do Muslims also relate to G-d as both father and king? 2. Is one relationship emphasized more than the other at different times of the year? Thanks! PS Jews, also feel free to weigh in, especially if you disagree with anything Ive said.
