Quick inspection of the ZX3 - Return cable (theres two cables) seems to be busted, prevent the car from pulling into 1st, 3rd, and 5th gears. Seller said 3 separate Ford Mechanics told them it was the Synchros preventing the car from getting into 1st and theyd need a new trans. Cable costs $110 via various sources. Reman MTX75 Trans costs $3,000 plus install. Now I know why people are skeptical about mechanics....
