Quick update on Bitty!!! He seems to be doing great!!! Didnt want much but water when he came home Thurs evening, but did get him to take some ice cream!! He thought it was very yummy!!! Ate about half his food yesterday AM, but ate all his dinner & breakfast this AM!!! He in fact wanted to stay out & play this AM, but I had to say no, we have to take it easy yet!! His sister is more mad she is by herself right now then him!!! I have to say I have been very impressed with the surgeon who took care of him!!! Dr Paul Orsini!!! He truely cares about his patients, is keeping logs of what worked well for him while raising him, called me 3 times Thurs to keep me updated, had his assistant call me yesterday, and he called me again this AM to check on him, and made sure I have his cell # if any questions or problems come up!!! I am very happy with the care he has given Bitty!!! For anybody who has never raised a cleft puppy, which I never had before Bitty, I tell you it is some work & expense, especially at the beginning with tube feeding every 2-3 hrs, then bottle feeding, then transitioning to solid food & finding one he likes!!! But I have to tell you he is probably the most social, happy puppy you can imagine!!! He loves everybody he meets & if you didnt know he had the cleft, you could not tell because he is now as big if not a little bigger then his sister, who was biggest until about 7 weeks old when the other brother took over that position, plays, looks & acts like a normal Aussie puppy now!!!! He truely is a joyful guy to have around!!!!
