Quinn had yet again another rough day yesterday and an even worse night. I talked with the urologists office yesterday afternoon and they were certain that he couldnt have a UTI since his culture from Monday was clear and that the blood was not a worry since it had lessened. Well he barely ate, only wanted to be held, and continued to complain of discomfort. As the day progressed he started telling us it hurt to be touched. He slept on me from 6-9 last night and by 11 was running fever and crying. After little sleep and 104 fever overnight we saw our PCP this morning, as I suspected he indeed does have a UTI. They gave him rocephin(antibiotic shot) and an oral antibiotic. If he isnt doing better in the morning we will go back for another injection. So grateful for our pediatricians office getting us in and taking good care of my boys! I really dont like being blown off by specialists, you may be a doctor but I know my kid.
